Moda icónica.

 

Venganzas, música, diálogos hipnóticos y sangre, sangre, mucha sangre.

Quentin Tarantino nos tiene acostumbrados a estos elementos. Y a que en sus películas la moda marque tendencia y se vuelva icónica.

 

Mención especial merece el mono amarillo de Beatrix Kiddo, La Mamba Negra. La prenda más representativa del poder de Quentin. Kill Bill (2003/04) no sería lo mismo sin este homenaje a Bruce Lee, que vistió el original (1977) en su película póstuma "Juego con la Muerte".

En realidad, en  todos los films dirigidos por él se puede identificar claramente una prenda que saltó de la pantalla a la calle.

¿Qué nos deparará Django Unchained? El estreno en EE.UU será el día de Navidad y en principio, en España, tres días más tarde. Y en su afán por buscar mezclas imposibles, como los western orientales o las pelis de samurais occidentales, esta vez se trata de un western en una plantación sureña en la que se entrenan esclavos para que luchen entre sí como si de gladiadores se tratase. También hay un guiño a los gustos de Quentin, ya que el título Django está inspirado por un spaguetti western de 1966.

Nota: me imagino que Four rooms (1995) crearía tendencia en alguna cadena hotelera ;)

Fashion icons.

 

Revenge, music, hypnotic dialogues and blood, blood, lots of blood.
We are used to these elements in Quentin Tarantino´s films. But fashion is another noticeable one, creating trends that become iconic.

Special mention to Beatrix Kiddo´s, Black Mamba, yellow jumpsuit. It´s the most representative of Quentin´s trending power. Kill Bill would not be the same without it. It is a tribute to Bruce Lee, who wore the original (1977) in his posthumous film "Game of Death".

 

Actually, in all the films directed by him we can clearly identify an item that jumped off the screen to the street.

What will bring Django Unchained? It will be released in the U.S. on Christmas Day and in Spain, three days later. Quentin´s quest to mix impossible, as east westerns or western samurai films, has succed again, this time it's a western in a Southern plantation where slaves are trained to fight each other as if they were gladiators. There is also a nod to the likes of Quentin as Django title is inspired by a 1966 spaghetti western.
